Kobelco Wuxi: Reaches Deal for Circulating Compressor for Indonesia's POLITAMA Polypropylene Project, Another Overseas Order for Process Gas Compressors
According to a transaction announcement on October 20, Kobelco Wuxi Compressor Co., Ltd. became the winning supplier of the 2R-401 circulating compressor for Indonesia's POLITAMA polypropylene project. The circulating compressor in a polypropylene plant is responsible for the pressurized circulation of reactor loop gas, and its operating conditions change frequently with grade switching, placing high demands on unit continuous-operation reliability, condition adaptability, and sealing performance. It has long been regarded as one of the more stringent categories among process gas compressors.
This transaction represents a concrete delivery by Kobelco Wuxi in the overseas petrochemical process gas compressor field. Prior to this, the company had already covered projects such as the desorption gas compressor for Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical's hydrocracking unit and the desorption gas compressor for Tenglong Aromatics, and the presence of its process gas compressor product line in petrochemical and overseas refining and chemical scenarios has continued to accumulate. The landing of the Indonesian polypropylene project extends the delivery radius of this product line from domestic refining and chemical bases to newly built chemical plants in Southeast Asia, and its subsequent operating performance will also serve as a reference for model selection in similar overseas projects.
